Thirty-two Golfers Play in Veteran's Day Holiday Scramble

The cold temps delayed the start time for the November 11th Holiday Scramble. There were 8 teams and 32 golfers who stayed committed despite the forecast. The winners of the first flight with a score of 60 was the team of Ricky Huner, Anthony Sheppard, Roger Watson and BJ Williams. In second place in this flight was the team of Dennis Biddy, Tom Davis, Bill Lewis, and Charlie Schaeffer with a score of 61. In the Second Flight, the team of Stan Sellers, won by regression over the team of Mary Barrows, Robin Flewellen, Jay Jaxon and Jerry Stanley. Both teams shot a 66. Stan's team members were Brent and Ken Blalock and Cary Priest. In second place was the team of Mike Childers, Dusty Helms, Michael Bachhofer, John Weyrauch who shot a 67. Thanks to the support and participation of all of the golfers $315 was collected for the 50/50 raffle. Dan O'Neill had the winning ticket and won $155. We really don't know who had the winning ticket because Dan and his teammates - Bennett Junkin, Glenn Kasper and Norm Mitchell all pooled their tickets and decided that if any one of them won, they would split it which is what they did. We appreciate all who participated and the ECC Staff members who provided good food and drinks for the golfers.
